Today was a tough day. First we had 38.6 degrees in the shadow and 62 degrees in the sun, then it started to rain heavily. The conditions on 2m were bad as yesterday. Today the conditions were bad. The polarization between us and the calling stations was very often different or we only had a one-way connection. We now have 117 stations in the 2m log. At 23cm was a problem with the setup. The dish chrashed. Luckily we were able to fix it and Hermann could successfully complete the first QSO with HB9Q. Tomorrow we will be on 2m and 23cm QRV again.

23-03-2015

We arrived our QTH yesterday late afternoon. Today was the first day of activity. It is very hot here (35 degrees centigrade in shadow and 55 degrees centegrade outside!!!).
We worked 79 station on 2m. Most of them were just visible only V-polarisation. The log is available (see relevant button).
Tomorrow again 2m and first activity on 23cm. At the moment (23:10h local) the dish assembled by DL2NUD&DJ4TC).

Together with Hermann (DL2NUD) and Peter (DJ4TC) we are QRV via the moon from Seychelles. Our activity starts on March 21 and ends on April 2.
2m, 70cm and GHz-bands will be activated. Hermann and friends were already on 2m QRV from Sechellen as S79HP nine years ago. We think it is time to activate S7 again. We stay at the same QTH in LI75.

The flights and location have been fixed and paid for. The license and the document for the customs we got. The callsign is S79EME
! We have to carry the whole equipment (at all more then 180Kg), as Postal delivery of part of the equipment is too expensive. Additional luggage on the plane is "cheaper" ...

We hope to have Internet at the QTH from the beginning. We will use the chat pages provided by N0UK and HB9Q.  We try to be on the air on Saturday on 2m and Sunday on 2m & 23cm parallel, if we can get the station built in time.  A schedule will be published later. You will find more information here and a daily update of the logs on relevant buttons of my Webpage.
